The Woodley Rose Project is an emerging community-led initiative supporting men and their children who are experiencing or recovering from family violence.
We are working to create a safe, respectful and inclusive service where men are heard, believed and supported to find safety, stability and hope.
Men Can Be Victim-Survivors Too
Family violence can affect anyone. However, men can face significant barriers when trying to speak about their experiences, be believed or find services equipped to support them and their children.
In the year ending 2025, Victoria Police recorded 26,563 male affected family members, representing approximately one-quarter of all affected family members recorded at family-violence incidents.

During the year ending 2025 approximately 653,400 men reported experiencing stalking by their partner/former partner.

For the year ending in 2025 approximately one in every four people recorded by Victoria Police as the affected family member at a family-violence incident was male.

The ABS found that 73% of men who had experienced family and domestic violence had never told police.
Our Mission
Woodley Rose Safe Haven supports men and their children beyond family violence, helping them find safety, stability and hope as they build new beginnings. Through lived-experience peer support, practical assistance, safe accommodation and connections to essential services, we provide compassionate pathways from crisis toward recovery and independence.
